The Falconer Museum

museum Founded in 1871, the museum was redeveloped in 2007 thanks to grants from a partnership of the Heritage Lottery Fund, The Moray Council, HIE (Moray) and The Friends of Falconer Museum. The museum tells the story of Dr Hugh Falconer emminent 19th century geologist, archaeologist, paleoanthropologist and who was also on a Bengali commission responsible for introducing tea to India. The museum also features local artefacts as part of 19 separate themes exploring local life and heritage.
